Kicking shoots.

Had two really kicking shoots today. One with the awesomeness that is Dr. Mevious. Or.. erm.. Mr. Devious. :D

We shot a conceptual shoot in his dark and scary garage. Well, it became scary after the black widow was discovered. Ironically, I was wearing black and red.. Hmm. Lol

Then we had lunch. Bad taco bell. Bad Pearl.

I went from there to shoot with fabtastic Kris in Allen. We hadn't worked together in over two years. It was good times. Really sweet creek photos. Clear gorgeous running water and little fishes. Cold too, but felt good on the 80 degree texas day. Tons of green trees and shade, so of course the photos are bad ass. I even wore a new dress that I look smokin in. IMHO. Got it wet and did some shots in that. I'll definately post from this set once I get them.

I had a reasonable good car ride home. Not too much traffic to deal with. Then an announcement about edgefest came on air. Now, I haven't been that thrilled with the line up, so I wasn't going to go. Don't get me wrong, Cage the Elephant, Metric, and Phoenix are all excellent bands, but I'm not thrilled about the rest. Then I heard they added Hole. Oh goodness... Now i want to go. Thankfully, I'm already booked that day for work and I'm hanging with the awesome model Denmark. Did I mention that she's super hot too? So I might have been tempted to make an unneeded opening of my wallet, had I not been prior booked. Whew!

Middle

Soo it's half way through a normal work week. IE, not half way for me. I don't think I've had a full day off in over a month. I am NOT complaining. I love what I do for a living, and I had a heap of bills to catch up on. So tis a good thing. BUT I will be looking forward to traveling and relaxing a bit. A bit. I'll be heading to Austin on the 19th - 22nd of March. Staying with the kickass London Andrews. And apparantly a small circus will be staying with her the same weekend. Should be fun. I'm working with some interesting people while in the area. Definately will post pictures when I get them. This coming weekend I'm going to see Phantom of the Opera with three good friends. I'm super excited. I've never been huge into musicals, but I always wanted to see CATS ans PotO live. I saw CATS last year with me mum, and now... My dream has come true. Lol.

The week so far has been pretty normal. Worked at UTA, AID, and Ellen's. Tonight they all raved over my hair. I keep forgetting that most people I work with have no clue how long my hair is, so when I let it down to fix it they all gasp. In a nice way of course. Lol. I'd like to point out though, that telling me I have really long hair.. Isn't a compliment. Lol. People will always say, "Wow, you have really long hair" And I used to say thank you, tell I relized, that's not technically a compliment. Lol.

Super tired today. I think working out is catching up too me. GOOD! Lol. I need to keep my self healthy and lean. I feel better that way.

The interview

Why the interview? Well it's my first blog.. Kinda like a first date, and we all know that first dates really are just interviews. Of course, it's been a long time since I've had a first date... so that may have changed.

I have no idea where my blog will go, how often I will maintain it, or what I will discuss. I'm torn between making it strictly personal or professional. Why not both? There are some people in each circle I'd rather not know things from either side of me. Yes, I have secrets. Ooooo.

I think I won't define what I will write for the moment. I'll let it progress and grow on it's own.

I will fill this space with the random thoughts from my head, with the daily activities of my life (the boring and the entertaining), and probably photos here and there from my shoots.

Hmm.. okay being more honest, when I say daily activities, that could actually turn into a weekly activity summarization..

Forewarning for those who actually choose to read these, spelling was never a strong subject of mine. I might take the time to correct my errors, but probably not.

Today.. Saw Tim Burton's recreation of Alice in theatres with my bf. I enjoyed it. Visually, it appears dark, but the story really isn't that dark and I definately think my sister of age 9 can handle it. The colors are just muted and darker toned, giving the movie the feeling of being of a more dramatic or serious tone. The story content isn't hard to handle for kids, so take them and enjoy the movie with them.

The rest of the day wasn't as interesting. Took a 5 hour nap to purposely get through the day faster. It worked. Watched the oscars while checking email on my itouch. Best part about the oscars was the John Hughes tribute. Reminded me of movies I need to see again, and of some that I have yet to see. Needless to say, I need a John Hughes movie marathon. Lol. That could take a whole weekend I'd imagine.
